Beautiful Balmain

Balmain is becoming one of my favorite designers along side Mary katrantzou. The collections become more beautiful every season. Here is the SS13 collection from Paris fashion week. I  like how it is similar to the last  collection however adding a new colour scheme and introducing yellow to give it a lighter feel. I like all the detail in the designers work and how he has combined the detail with the new diamond print which looks to be a big trend.

Baroque Ilustration

Fashion through the centuries book from the Library has a good chapter all about baroque fashion.

Influence for the style of dress and the start of the illustration using water colour paints.

Vintage Shirt

Unplanned work is sometimes your best work

This is an outfit i put together whilst on a photo shoot with my model. I hadn't planned for it to look like this i litualy just picked items from the bag of clothes i had with me. Sometimes i prefer to work like this as you can come up with a good outfit that you would of never have thought to put together otherwise.

The model wears pretty much everything vintage. The trousers i found in a charity shop for just 99p and the cardigan was found in the loft as i wore it when i was little. I love the cut of the jacket and the little embroidered flowers.

Beautiful Baroque

One of my favorite trends this season is the baroque trend. I have always loved looking at the detail in architecture especially detailed architecture such as baroque. This seasons designer collections have bin heavily influenced by this architecture. The main collections that are influenced by this are Dolce and Gabbana as well as Balmain.

My favorite baroque outfit. Top and shorts both from Asos.com. Defiantly want to invest but i couldn't get away with wearing such a bold outfit in such a small town.

Just one of the pieces from the beautiful Dolce and Gabbana a/w 2012 collection.

A print from a piece in the Balmain a/w 2012 collection

Baroque printed t-shirt from River Island

Loved this baroque printed dress from Asos a long time ago before the trend even started.

Love this shirt from Asos. The pastel pin and blue are such a good combination of colour.

These tapestry boots are to die for.

Another amazing piece from Asos. This website is bang on with all of this seasons trends and is my favourtie place to shop at the minute.

Could be Haute Couture

Another vintage ind in my local charity shop. I spotted this beautiful cardigan on the sale rail for £1.99. It could easily pass for a vintage or haute couture piece; the amount of work that has gone into making it is unreal. When i took it to the counter people commented on how nice it was and looked as though they wanted to take it for themselves. I kept a firm grip on the hanger.

After reading an article in this months vogue i got the heads up that kitten heals are going to be big this season. I was going to invest in a pair however just to be on the safe side i raided the second hand store and found these beige pair for just £2. These also have the t-bar front which is going to be big this season. Covering two trends in one pair of shoes.

a/w2012 The printed trouser suit

After looking at the new 2012 autum/winter collections from many designers i have noticed a trend of the trouser suit. Pradas collection was particulary important for the start of the trouser suit trend. The designers collection was a series of matching printed suits in bright colours and eyecatching prints.

After seeing these suits i instantly wanted to invest in one however after searching highstreet brands collection i noticed that to buy the matching suits you have to buy the blazer and trousers seperate which works out stupidly expensive for someone on a tight budget. I decided that i would invest in the trousers as i already have a few coloured blazers that i could style with them. Here are my pick of what i think are the best trousers on the high street.

Asos

Its a difficult choice however i think these asos tousers on the far left are the ones i will be investing in. I love the pattern and the silky texture.
